About Lisa Graves

Lisa is originally from Southern California and has been living in Lawrence since 2002. Lisa received her bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences from the University of Arizona and her master’s degree in communication disorders from the University of Redlands. She holds the American Speech-Language Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC), is licensed to practice as a speech-language pathologist in California and Kansas, and is a member of the Kansas Speech-Langauge Hearing Association. Lisa has over 25 years of experience working with both pediatric and adult populations in a variety of settings including early childhood, hospital, skilled nursing, home health, and private practice. In 2021, Lisa started her private practice, Speech Solutions, serving children and adults in Lawrence and the surrounding communities. She is passionate about making specialized services such as speech and occupational therapy more accessible to the entire community. Lisa has extensive training in myofunctional, feeding, swallowing, and cognitive therapy in addition to pediatric speech and language therapy.

Beyond Work

Lisa lives at home with her husband, two sons and three labrador retrievers, Maddie, Charly, and Kona. Lisa and Maddie volunteer throughout the community with Loving Paws Animal Assisted Therapy. Lisa also volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters, Leadership Lawrence, and Junior Achievement. Lisa is a member of the Lawrence Women’s Network and the Lawrence Kids Collective.

 

Lisa enjoys watching her sons play baseball, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
