Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist

Speech Solutions is a locally owned and growing private practice in Lawrence, KS offering speech and occupational therapy to pediatric and adult clients in Lawrence and the surrounding communities. Candidates for this position must be able to effectively communicate and interact with families, caregivers, community partners, and colleagues.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct client assessments as needed to determine individual needs and develop personalized treatment plans

• Implement effective interventions for children with speech and language deficits

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care for clients

• Educate clients and their families on techniques for improving communication skills

• Maintain accurate and detailed client records

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology 

• Certification of Clinical Competency

• Valid state licensure in Kansas as a Speech-Language Pathologist

• Ability to connect well with clients

• Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• At least one year work experience as an SLP is preferred

• Experience with feeding and sensory interventions preferred

• Understanding and implementation of evidence based speech and language interventions and treatment modalities

• Experience with AAC devices and assistive technology is a plus

• Experience with orofacial myofunctional disorders is a plus

• Experience working with adults is a plus
