Billing & Insurance

We currently are in-network providers with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, UnitedHealthcare, and Medicaid.


We also accept private pay clients and provide superbills for clients seeking out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Speech Solutions is committed to serving our community and making sure quality services are accessible to those who need them. Please contact us to discuss our private pay options and to learn more about out-of-network reimbursement. 


Prior to scheduling an initial evaluation, we request that you ask your physician to fax a referral with therapy orders to Speech Solutions.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We are in network with BCBS, Cigna, United, Humana, and Medicaid. We will run a verification of benefits, but you are responsible for understanding your benefits and are responsible for anything that insurance does not cover. We also accept private pay.

What is your attendance and cancellation policy?

Once therapy is initiated, you are agreeing to attend the recommended number of sessions per week in order to make progress toward identified goals. Frequent cancellations will jeopardize your future therapy appointments. If more than 3 sessions are missed in a 3 month period, you will be removed from our schedule. We require 24 hours' notice of cancellation, or the full session fee will be billed. These fees cannot be billed to insurance and are due the day of the missed appointment. If there is an emergency that does not allow for a 24-hour notice to be provided, those situations will be addressed on an individual basis.

How do I know if my child or loved one needs therapy?

Please reach out to us to discuss your concerns and answer any questions you may have. This conversation will guide next steps, which could include a free screening or a formal evaluation to determine if therapy is recommended. If it is determined that a formal evaluation is needed, we will need physician orders prior to scheduling the initial appointment. Orders can be faxed to (785) 274-8179.

Where will services be provided?

We provide services in our office located at 543 Lawrence Ave., Suite 1A, Lawrence, KS 66049. We also provide services at local daycare centers, private schools, in-home, and via teletherapy.

How often do we come to therapy?

Frequency of services will be determined based on each client’s individual needs.

Do you involve parents or caregivers in therapy?

Yes! Empowering parents and caregivers so they know how to help their loved one is an essential part of our services. When parents and caregivers are able to support their loved ones with ongoing practice throughout their daily life, they are able to make more progress. We are pleased to collaborate with any other professionals working with your child or loved one.
